The Mexico national football team is the national soccer team of Mexico and represents the country in international competitions. It is controlled by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), the governing body of football in Mexico. The team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup a record 15 times and has reached the quarter-finals twice, in 1970 and 1986. The team has also had success in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, having won the tournament a record nine times. Mexico’s home kits have traditionally featured the colors green, white, and red, which are the colors of the Mexican flag. The kits are manufactured by adidas.
